Just Let It Out... and Listen Too.

When we get hurt whether it be with friendships, love, family and so on; some of us and I'm guilty of this tend to put up this barrier to block people out. Some think that this is acceptable and will heal them. A great person in my life told me that closure is the best thing possible. It's not always for you, check this out. Say you are the one who hurt somebody. You two used to be close and for some reason you did something so screwed up it messes with that other person daily.

I was recently put in a situation where someone wanted to talk to me. I didn't have anything to say and didn't want to hear the bs storm that was about to come my way. BUT my friend told me "Just listen, let them get the closure and move on." When I asked why, he said: "Have you ever been hurt to the point to where you want to kill someone? Like your emotional being is thrown off by this one person, and if you could just release everything you'd be able to let it go?" So I sat there and stared at him for 5 minutes thinking about what he said. In my heart and mind I was placed in this situation before and just wanted to rip that other person a new one, but since I was unable too, it took a lot longer to move on.

Sometimes we as people need to vent and release, and guess what? There's nothing wrong with that.

So I reluctantly picked up the phone and allowed this person to speak, hey God said if you have an ear then lend it right? I felt better just listening and so did that other person who came to the conclusion that I wasn't the one he was mad at, what he said brought out so may skeletons that I had nothing to do with.

Sometimes people just need to talk.

Thanks to my friend, I've come to the realization that everyone is a little fucked up in life. Everyone has issues, everyone will mess up and everyone at some point in time will hurt someone. When I grasped that, my whole world changed and
I thank my great friend for that wake up call.

Moral of the story?? Well let people talk, even if you don't want to listen, it may end up doing you some good in the long run.

Lord knows it helped me, and now I'm at the happiest point I've ever been in, in my life.

The Power of YOU

Shape Up!

When I turn on the TV, listen to the radio, or even walk in the stores; I can't help but feel sorry for the generation after me. The cartoons are horrible, the music is all about sex and exes and the conversations between parents and children are now replaces with cell phone texting and walking like zombies. For me I had Boomerang, the ORIGINAL All That, Clarissa Explains it All, Bewitched, KABLAM and so forth. Music? Forget about it! Talking about the cuts from the 80's to early 90's? That's when the art of it died! At least our boy bands music made sense, they could dance and ALL of them looked good. When I asked my friends little sister if shes seen the Jetsons and she replied with a "What's a Jetson?" Music is filled with Taylor Swift giving little girls the thought that it's OK to date repeatedly and go around the block, Justin Bieber is falsely claiming to be like Buzz Lightyear and "Fly you across the globe" WHEN Buzz actually clearly states he flies across the galaxy, just sayin.......

Whenever my mom would go to Costco or Sams Club I would harass her to take me with her for the sole fact of getting the tester samples :)! That was the whole point on kids wanting to go! So they can grab the coupons that stick out and get free food; well at least that is my reason :)

Some parents now a days are really busy and some allow TV and music to raise their children. They go around reciting Taylor Swift lyrics going crazy over One Direction when they don't even know the presidents. Schools now are questioning saying the Pledge of Alligence and banning sugar. When I was in school, we stood up every morning to recite that, sugar was allowed because our asses had GYM CLASS! But NOO everyone now is so damn sensitive! Some parents are actually petitioning to get gym out of the schools because their kid is being teased in gym. Well if your child is overweight you most likely are catering to it. GYM is the only thing that could save them. Instead of blaming the teachers, the system and other people for your actions and behaviors why not look in the mirror?

Anyone older than a child has an influence on them. Whether you know the child personally or not. Kids mimic at all ages from babies to teenagers. The only way to turn things around is to make a change with you. If you complain that you're child is bad, talks crazy and dresses like whatever, with the biggest attitude; see where this is coming from. Most of you have no idea who your kids' are friends with let alone what their parents are like. For those of you who are being a great parent(and I know Plenty!) thank you for being nosy when it comes to your seed, thank you for going through that phone, talking with their friends and even their friends' parents. Thank you for actually caring. :)
