Not so Funny
Kat Williams, what is the first thing that came to mind when you read his name? Is it his many stand-ups? His hilarious appearances in movies? What he has done for the community black and non-black? Is it what he used to stand for? Or do you think of the recent? The Kat Williams, who throws punches at people who work at Target, or most recently, the Kat Williams who threw a punch at a 15-year-old on a soccer field? Well, the video of that is circulating the web, CLICK HERE to check it out. While others laugh, clown, diss whatever you want to call it, I can't help but be sad and pray.
There is something much more going on with this man, and others alike. That instead of helping him and others people chose to record, mock and spread the ridiculousness. That my friends hurt my heart. How can people not watch this video and the others that circulated prior and saw someone who needs help? Whether he wants to admit it or not, there is a battle so deep only Jesus can fix it. So no, I will not join you in laughing at this video, laughing at another man's expense, and joining in on the pain that he is so obviously going through. Instead, I will pray for a silent battle in hopes that he can get it together before something truly drastic happens.
There is no reason, as to why a fight between a grown man and a child who bucked up should've happened. I simply don't understand. However, I do know that it is not my place to understand and instead spread the request of prayer for our community. We are hurting, our icons are hurting, our heart and soul is hurting, and instead of helping everyone is quick to grab a camera and record it while yelling "World Star!" Oh well, I know it's a lot to ask, but whether I have people who join me or not in making a difference, not just by praying but by action; I am more than willing to do it alone. Have a blessed day, and think about others.

Woman's Body
People lost their cool when Kim Kardashian posted another nude picture to her social media. (click here to check out the pic) Celebrities chimed in; fans praised Kim K, and others were just flat out rude. I want to know, why is it a surprise that she posted another nude picture? We have seen her naked plenty of times, and heck her launch to fame started off of a sex tape. I don't see an issue with it because well I LOVE the woman's body. It is beautiful, it is strong, and it has plenty of stories to tell from lying about orgasms to scars from an ex to its remarkable recovery rate from creating another human inside of it.
You have to invest your money in other areas besides beauty. Most people see the exterior of the Kardashians, their ridiculously long-running reality show that has NO SUBSTANCE and assume that things are handed to them. What they do not see, is the hard work, dedication, sleepless nights, long hours, days missed with friends and family to be on the road to stay relevant and rich. There is always more than what meets the eye; which is why I stopped judging celebrities and how they live.
There are ways for women to be heard, make a career, find love, have money and live happily ever after without showing their entire bodies. Yes, this is true. We also need to take into consideration, that some people don't have that luxury of having other outlets. So for those women, they do turn to being naked and using their assets to make their way. I don't mind either hustle, as a woman I can understand, but I can not relate to that path. I won't point a finger or judge because I don't know what it's like to walk in those shoes. All I know is that you have to do what you have to do.
Women are so hard on each other the most; it's a sad thing to see and read. We preach equality, rights and a bunch of other things. When someone is happy and embracing their sexuality i.e. Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Amber Rose, Pamela Anderson, Tyra Banks, Chrissy Teigen, those women get dragged to hell, WHY? Sexuality is a great thing, it's a beautiful thing, and the woman's body is incredible. It's okay to talk about sex, use sex, say you enjoy sex, express yourself, show your body, hide your body, keep quiet, or be loud.. TO EACH THEIR OWN. If you don't like what these women post, then stop looking.
The older I get, the more I understand Britney Spears' 2007 meltdown. Live your life and focus on yourself instead of hating on the next woman who made it, is making a way, or determined to be somebody

Heart Broken But Heaven has their Angel
It's been years. When I say years, it's been since 2002; that was the last time I had my best friend around me, to hold my hand, to give me a hug, to say "I love you", and to plan our baby blue matching bridesmaids dresses. Then that summer, I fell ill, and she was taken away from us.
I was lost, upset, confused. That age was hard for me, not just by losing my best friend and sister but because of other issues I cannot share. It took over a decade for me to stop crying. I still had the urge to call her and tell her things, as soon as I would dial her house number, her mom would answer, and I would forget that my best friend was never coming back. Instead of hanging up, I would speak to her mom for quite some time, and over the years, I would leave messages on her gravesite.
She was a powerful person, a loving friend that had a smile that would make you forget about all your worries. She had the best hugs, ones that made you feel loved for days, and she was a smart-ass very quick witted; a trait I always admired. And now, as she would have turned 27, I can't help but think about where she would be now. What would she have been doing, what is her address so I can mail her an invitation to my graduation in May.
I miss my best friend, the world misses her and benefited from her for the little amount of time she walked this earth. Last year was the first year I didn't cry on her birthday or the day of her death. Instead, I learned to grow and celebrate her and not be pissed off or angry at life. This year is the 2nd year I'm unable to go to her grave and lay on it and tell her "I miss you." Took me awhile to realize I didn't need to be laying on her to talk to her.
I am so blessed to have known her, and I'm glad that I got the chance to call her my best friend and have the best friendship I've ever had in my life. I will forever love you, Laney, happy birthday!

Student Steals Teachers Phone
A South Carolina teacher was fired after a student took the teachers cell phone, stole private pictures that she had on there for her lover and texted it to the entire school. What happened to the student?
NOTHING! This folks is what’s wrong with the children today. There is a sense of entitlement, no respect for authority figures, and no respect for their education. The complaining, amount of gadgets that they have and the new age of technology has created a new generation of brats. However, despite my rant on technology and its advances the other problem comes from the parents. I am a firm believer that it starts at home.
Respect, discipline and common sense typically come from the adults around children. There is no way in hell that I would have ever thought to disrespect an adult as a child. Heck, I don’t even disrespect adults as an adult. I was raised better than that, and I was raised to respect people and their property. That child had no reason to touch the teachers’ things let alone personal items. In my personal opinion, I believe that the student needs to be punished. Not only did he invade the teacher privacy, he also stole property, harassed the teacher and much more which ultimately caused her to lose her job; when she did nothing wrong.
What is this really teaching the children? That you can do anything you want and not get in trouble because you’re a child. I think the teacher should lawyer up, and file a civil suit against the school system and the student. This is unfair and completely stupid.
